History of Larinx

Larinx.com started out in July of 2011. It immediately grew to a blog that was getting around 50,000 hits a month, mostly by closet android users who were upset by the content of the blog. After reaching ridiculous success, I was forced to abandon the blog as my web hosting service informed me that I was bringing down their server with all the traffic I was receiving. As such, I decided to move over to blogger and continue blogging here. As you can see, I've taken a new approach, and will include these rage comics whenever I get a chance, but also go back to writing the posts that got me so many hits back in the day as well. Enjoy!

The Instagram Dilemma

Instagram is a popular app.  Obviously.  Millions upon millions use it on iOS and fandroids have been waiting for ages to get it on their devices.  Now, I'm not going to comment on whether or not the app itself is great, because I don't use it.  If you have a need for it, it probably does a job and does it well.  However, as we all know popularity doesn't necessary mean quality.  Anyway, Instagram was recently released for Android and lo and behold it's not as polished as the iOS version.  Not exactly a surprise, but there's been quite a turnaround among the fandroid bunch after this was revealed.

Now That's What I Call Fragmentation...

I was reading an article today about Android fragmentation and it really is worse then I could have ever imagined.  For a while now, I've been saying it's 300+ devices against 1, when it comes to Android/iPhone comparisons.  I wasn't even close!

The Problem With Android Fanboys

I've always wondered why Android fanboys were so passionate about their product.  I mean, Android is an amazing OS and has tons of features that iOS doesn't, but why does it have to be such a silly pissing contest between Android fanboys and iOS users?  One of the biggest culprits in perpetuating this "beef" is the fandroid blogs out there.  It seems with every mention of Android, Apple also has to be mentioned.

So Damn Stable

Because oddly fandroids never have problems with their phones...
